Founded in 1996, Brewer-Clifton wines are a reflection of the geographic, geologic and climatic uniqueness of California’s Sta. Rita Hills appellation in Santa Barbara County. Founder and Winemaker Greg Brewer has spent the entirety of his three-decade career dedicated to crafting cool-climate Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from this finite stretch of land. Greg passionately and ritualistically creates wines of intensity, complexity and specificity to convey the characteristics inherent to each vineyard sites, with uncompromising quality.

Taste the Sta. Rita Hills
Each year, Brewer-Clifton produces a Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Winemaker Greg Brewer uses these wines as an opportunity to showcase the uniqueness of the region by blending together fruit from each of Brewer-Clifton’s cool-climate estate vineyards. These wines are aged in neutral barrels to capture the region’s signature characteristics. For Chardonnay, this creates a wine with racy acidity and notes of orange peel, citrus zest, and fresh sea salt. For Pinot Noir, this results in a structured, earthy wine thanks to using the whole grape cluster (that means stems, seeds and all!) to capture notes of ripe cherry, savoriness and tea.

Greg Brewer was named the 2020 Winemaker of the Year by Wine Enthusiast in recognition of his famed-wines, dedication to Santa Barbara wine country and commitment to showcasing the wines of the Sta. Rita Hills on the world stage for the past 30 years.
