Vérité La Joie was inspired by the finest wines from the Pauillac region of Bordeaux. La Joie is derived from a layered concentration of Cabernet Sauvignon vines grown along the steep hillsides and volcanic benches of the Mayacamas Mountains. Vigneron Pierre Seillan tends to a mosaic of more than fifty micro-crus to produce the wine’s complex signature. The 2018 La Joie exudes generous, fruit-forward aromas and flavors of ripe black currant and black cherry, which precede earthy notes of fresh conifer, dried mushroom, black olive, dusty clay, anise and clove. The rich, structured palate is accompanied by refined tannins and well-balanced acidity, leading to a complex, luscious finish.
